The Israeli Jazz and Film Festival

On May 5, 2013 SHJC had their inaugural event, The LI Israeli Jazz and Film Festival Honoring the Memory of Warren J. Tuckman.   The Festival presented Roni Ben-Hur and his renowned jazz ensemble, featuring vocalist, Amy London, and showcasing Award Winning Film Shorts, “Gefilte Fish” by Shelly Kling-Yousef, “On the Road to Tel-Aviv” by Khen Shalem, “Loose Ends” by David Reinlib, “Sight” by Eran May-Raz and “Stairs To No End” by Daniella Koffler.

The Festival has been made possible through a generous Ma’alot Grant from the USCJ Israel Committee and Nefesh B’Nefesh.   The purpose of the grant is to deepen our connections with Israel, and to expose our communities to opportunities that promote Israel education, engagement and advocacy.
